- JUST ONE OF THE GUYS.  Joyce Hyser stars as a high
school student who pretends to be male and enrolls in
another school, to research a newspaper article on sexism.
When she falls in love with a male friend at the other
school, her classmates think that Joyce is a gay male.  A
well done 1985 movie.  Airs:

- PELICAN BRIEF (CC).  It is incidental to the plot, but
one of the US Supreme Court Justices who gets killed in
the beginning of the show turns out to have been gay.

- ALL MY CHILDREN (CC).  The plot line around Michael's
gayness is pretty prominent.  This past week, Michael's
sister Laurel told her husband Trevor that Michael is gay,
& Trevor freaked.  There is also an ongoing story line
about a very young girl, Paloma, who is dying of AIDS.
> Airs weekdays at 1:00 pm ET on ABC.

- THREESOME (CC).  Three college students wind up rooming
together.  The woman is in love w/ man #1.  Man #1 is in
love with man #2. Man #2 is in love with the woman. Airs:
> Wed.-Thurs., 11/29-30/95, 12:45 am, The Movie Channel
> Fri. 12/1/95, 8:00 pm, Showtime cable

- STATE OF THE ARTS.  TV Guide says:  "The high and low
notes in the life of composer Leonard Bernstein."  Unknown
if it will cover his private life.  (Bernstein came out in
his later years.)  Airs:
> Thurs. 11/30/95, 6:30 pm, on New Jersey Network public
tv stations (including WNJS ch. 23 in Camden, WNJT ch. 52

- LONGTIME COMPANION.  1990 film about the effects of AIDS
on a group of young gay white men from NYC & Fire Island,
NY.  Airs:

> Fri.-Sat. 12/1-2/95, 1:30 am, Bravo

- WORLD AIDS DAY PROGRAMMING.  Friday 12/1/95 is World
AIDS Day.  Traditionally, most networks schedule a lot of
AIDS programming on that day.  Many talk shows, morning &
nightly news shows, and dramas will have AIDS-oriented
programming.  (This week's list includes known shows, but
there will be others as well, I'm sure.)

- SMART SEX.  "Examining the sexual attitudes, behavior
and experiences of young adults through interviews and
discussions.  Topics include sexually transmitted
diseases."-TV Guide.  Given that this is World AIDS Day,
AIDS is likely to feature prominently in this show.
> Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 10:00 pm, on some public tv stations,
including New Jersey Network stations WNJS ch. 23 in
Camden and WNJT ch. 52 in Trenton.

The following shows air once this week as far as I know:

- PERSONAL BEST (CC).  Airs Sun.-Mon., 11/26-27/95, 2:30
am, Encore.  Just about every woman I know hated this 1982
movie about two female Olympic athletes who are lovers.
Beware of the incredibly offensive male coach.

- GAY MEN'S CHORUS OF LONG BEACH HALLOWEEN CONCERT
'CHILLER'.  Airs in Long Beach (CA?) on Mon. 11/27/95,
7:00 pm local time, on "CBI Long Beach channel 65 (57 on
cable ready tv)".  A correspondent wrote that "This 1992
concert has never been aired before.  Under the direction
of Jeff Dufford the Gay Men's Chorus performed for a
packed haunted house."

- CLIO AWARDS (CC).  Airs Mon. 11/27/95, 9:00 pm, Fox (?).
Note: I'm not sure if this is airing on the whole Fox
network, or a syndicate of stations including Phila.'s
WTXF ch. 29 and NYC's WNYW ch. 5, so check your listings.
According to the TV Guide, "Guests include RuPaul, who
presents some of 1995's sexiest commercials."

- LARRY SANDERS (CC).  Airs Mon. 11/27/95, 11:00 pm, HBO.
"Sandra Bernhard hosts the show."-TV Guide

- POSITIVE HEALTH.  Airs Tues. 11/28/95, 7:30 pm. on
Phila. PA WYBE ch. 35.  Local show by and for people with
AIDS and HIV disease.

- IDOLS OF THE GAME, PART 2 (CC).  Airs Tues. 11/28/95,
8:05 pm, WTBS.  "Part 2, 'Babes in Boyland,' offers a look
at top women athletes and their complex roles at sports
celebrities.  Among those profiled are Babe Didrikson,
Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, and Nancy Lieberman."

meets Rachel's conservative parents."-TV Guide

TV Guide says that "Hank hires a new assistant."  I'm not
sure about this one.  It may or may not be a rerun of the
episode in which Hank hires a gay assistant played by
Scott Thompson.  No promises.

- THE CREW (CC).  Airs Thurs. 11/30/95, 8:30 pm, Fox.
According to TV Guide, gay character Paul goes on a blind
date.

- THE ADVENTURES OF PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT.  Airs
Thurs. 11/30/95, 10:30 pm, Showtime cable.  "Delightfully
campy account of three transvestites' offbeat escapades as
they traverse the Australian outback in their ramshackle
bus, 'Priscilla'."-TV Guide

- AND THEN THERE WERE ONE (CC).  Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 2:00
pm, Lifetime cable.  "A couple (Amy Madigan, Dennis
Boutsikaris) face their own mortality when they - and
their infant daughter - are diagnosed with AIDS."-TV Guide

- PEDRO ZAMORA TRIBUTE.  Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 3:00 pm, MTV.
A tribute to the late "Real World" cast member, who was
openly gay and who died of AIDS.

- EAGLE SCOUT: THE STORY OF HENRY NICOLS (CC).  Airs Fri.
12/1/95, 4:00 pm, HBO.  Documentary about an Eagle Scout
who is HIV-positive and who does AIDS-awareness lectures.

- AND THE BAND PLAYED ON (CC).  Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 4:30
pm, HBO.  Excellent movie based on the Randy Shilts book
about the early years of the AIDS epidemic.  Matthew
Modine, Alan Alda, Lily Tomlin, and many other stars give
superb performances in this gripping drama.  Highly
recommended.

- PHILADELPHIA (CC).  Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 5:45 pm, Showtime
cable.  Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington star in this great
movie about a gay lawyer who is fired when his firm learns
that he has AIDS and is gay, and who then sues the firm.
The Flirtations have a brief appearance.

- STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION (CC).  Airs Fri. 12/1/95,
7:30 pm, on Phila. PA WGBS ch. 57.  May or may not air in
other areas on syndicated daily reruns, so check your
local listings.  This is the episode in which Dr. Beverly
Crusher has an affair with a Trill ambassador.  When the
ambassador's host body dies and the Trill symbiont is
transferred into a female host body, Dr. Bev can't cope
with continuing a relationship with a woman.....

WWOR national cable ch. 9.  TV Guide says: "Mitch (David
Hasselhoff) can't skirt the issue when a series of
assaults begins plaguing Malibu's drag-show circuit.  So
he addresses the situation by posing as a female
impersonator."

- ONE FOOT ON A BANANA PEEL, THE OTHER FOOT IN THE GRAVE.
Airs Fri. 12/1/95, 11:00 pm, Bravo cable.  TV Guide says
"(1994) Intimate view of the daily lives of AIDS patients
in a New York City clinic."
