The following shows air once this week as far as I know:

- ORLANDO (CC). Airs Sat. 9/23/95, 10:20 am, The Movie
Channel. Surprisingly boring movie about a person who
lives for 400 years and manages to change genders in the
middle without the benefit of surgery. Based on Virginia
Woolf's story. This movie is an exercise in tedium.

- THREE OF HEARTS (CC). Airs Sun. 9/24/95, 11:15 pm, The
Movie Channel. Very weird movie in which a lesbian (Kelly
Lynch) hires a male gigolo (William Baldwin) to seduce,

hopes that the ex will give up on men and return to women.

Hi, folks! This is note #2 (of 3) of the list of tv shows
with gay, lesbian, other sexual minority, and gay/straight
AIDS themes, for the tv week of Sat 9/23/95 - Fri 9/29/95.
Be sure to read all 3 notes! Most times Eastern.

*************** CONTINUED FROM NOTE #1 *****************

- MELROSE PLACE (CC). Airs Mon. 9/25/95, 8:00 pm, Fox.
TV Guide says "Michael urges Matt (Doug Savant) to sue Dr.
Hobbs (Francis X. McCarthy)".

- CAN'T HURRY LOVE (CC). Airs Mon. 9/25/95, 8:30 pm, CBS.
TV Guide says "Roger gets a massage - from a man." I have
no idea what this means, so no promises on gay content.

- MAKING LOVE. Airs Mon.-Tues., 9/25-26/95, 4:40 am,
Cinemax. 1982 movie about a married man who gets involved
with another man. Michael Ontkean, Harry Hamlin, and Kate
Jackson star.

- THE PELICAN BRIEF (CC). Airs Tues. 9/25/95, 5:30 pm,
Cinemax. It is incidental to the plot, but one of the US
Supreme Court Justices who gets killed in this movie turns
out to have been a closeted gay man.

- JUST ONE OF THE GUYS (CC). Airs Tues. 9/25/95, 6:15 pm,
HBO. A decent movie about a female high school student
who cross-dresses & enrolls as a male student in another
school, to research an article on sexism. When she falls
for a male student at the other school, the kids think
that she is a gay male.

- POSITIVE HEALTH. Airs in Phila. PA on Tues. 9/26/95,
7:30 pm, on WYBE ch. 35. A local weekly show by and for
people with AIDS and HIV disease.

- CONAN O'BRIEN. Airs Tues.-Wed., 9/26-27/95, 12:35 am,
NBC. Tuesday's scheduled guests include out gay actor &
comedian Scott Thompson, who is playing a gay man on this
season's "The Larry Sanders Show".

- FRIENDS (CC). Airs Thurs. 9/28/95, 8:00 pm, NBC. Ross'
lesbian ex-wife and her partner will probably be in this
week's episode. TV Guide says that "Ross (David
Schwimmer) isn't exactly gaga over breast milk".

- MAURICE. Airs Thurs.-Fri., 9/28-29/95, 3:15 am, Bravo
cable. Beautiful film about a gay man coming to terms
with his sexuality in Edwardian England.

- ROSEANNE (CC). Airs Fri. 9/29/95, 6:30 pm, on Phila. PA
WGBS ch. 57. May or may not air in other daily
syndication rerun areas. This is the episode in which
Leon fights with his male partner over "straightening up"
the house for a family visit.

- FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL (CC). Airs Fri. 9/29/95,
8:00 pm, Showtime cable. This romantic comedy has gotten
much praise from my readers for its well-portrayed gay
male couple.

- GREETINGS FROM OUT HERE. Airs in NYC on Fri.-Sat.,
9/29-30/95, midnight on WNET ch. 13. I've never seen this
film about gays in the south, but many have praised it.

ADDENDUM:

The following info comes from GLAADNATL@aol.com

From HRTF FL on the GLAAD Board on America On-Line:

From Stonewall and Anita Bryant to Oregon Measure 9 and "don't ask, don't
tell," the gay liberation movement has fought for equali rights in a
climate of hatred, violence, intolerance and discrimination. The pursuit
of individual liberty the freedom to think and act freely comes with
the individual responsibility to not harm the freedom of others. This
concept is fundamentally American. But when it comes to freedom and equal
rights for gays and lesbians, equal rights become draped in fear-filled
rhetoric filled with stereotypes about family values, religion and
politics.

THE QUESTION OF EQUALITY is a four-part series for the gay and lesbian
community coming to public television nationwide in October, and it
addresses many of these issues head on.

Here you'll find a broadcast schedule and information about the four
programs, entitled Out Rage '69, Culture Wars, Hollow Liberty and
Generation Q, as well as other information about programs from the
Independent Television Service.

Also, you'll find a space to publicly discuss the issues pertinent to your
community and a survey to test your Queer Quotient. Your feedback is
highly valued.
