Subject: Gay TV Shows 3/25/95-3/31/95

Hi, folks! This is note #1 (of 3) of the list of tv shows
with gay, lesbian, other sexual minority, and gay/straight
AIDS themes, for the tv week of Sat 3/25/95- Fri 3/31/95.
Be sure to read notes #2&3 also. Most times are Eastern.

*********************************************************

The following shows air at multiple/various times:

>> BIOGRAPHY: ROCK HUDSON. Airs:
- Mon. 3/27/95, 8:00 pm, Arts & Entertainment cable
- likely (not definite) airing on Mon-Tues., 3/27-28/95,
midnight, Arts & Entertainment

>> INDEPENDENT IMAGES. According to the March 1995 issue
of SEVEN ARTS/APPLAUSE, Philadelphia PA's WHYY ch. 12 is
airing the following films during this week's independent
film festival:
- On Mon, 3/27/95, sometime between 11:00 pm and midnight
(approximate air time 11:20 pm): POSITIVE FAITH, which
"follows the lives of three Christians as they confront
spiritual issues and their HIV status"
- On Fri. 3/31/95, sometime between 11:00 pm and midnight
(likely air time 11:01): CROSS DRESSING KEN, which is
described as "a comical look at a Ken doll."

>> CRACKER: ONE DAY A LEMMING WILL FLY. TV Guide
describes this 1993 made-for-British-TV movie as follows:
"The police allege that the prime suspect in a 13 year-old
boy's murder - a teacher (Christopher Fulford) - was
sexually attracted to the victim." I've never seen or
heard of this, and I can't tell from the description if
this will be a really homophobic movie about pedophilia or
if it will be a story about unfounded police accusations
and homophobia, so let the viewer beware. No promises.
Airs:
- Tues. 3/28/95, 9:00 pm, Arts & Entertainment
- Tues-Wed. 3/28-29/95, 1:00 am, A&E

>> SUSAN POWTER: HOMOSEXUALITY AND MARRIAGE. Scheduled

left me for some other woman" kind of triangles, but who
knows? Airs in most areas on Wed. 3/29/95, including:
- Wed. 3/29/95, 4:00 pm, on both NYC NY WCBS ch. 2 and
Phila. PA WCAU ch. 10

>> SALLY JESSY RAPHAEL: TRANSSEXUALISM. I don't know if
this is a misreporting or a two-part show, but my TV Guide
lists this as the topic for both Thurs. 3/30 and Fri.
3/31. It may really be one or the other, though, so be
warned. Check local schedules, but the airings listed in
my TV Guide include:
