This vampire C movie features a strange relationship involving Catherine Deneuve, Susan Sarandon, and David Bowie, in various combinations. Some folks love it, but I think Roger Ebert had it right when he mentioned that the film has an overabundance of curtains, fluttering in the breezes.... The director probably thought that this was artsy, but to me it was just plain boring. That's this week's list folks. Also two notes: Openly gay actor Scott Thompson is going to be playing Hank Kingsley's gay assistant on the Larry Sanders show, later this year (should start airing in 10/95). Apparently, his character is going to lead to some interesting speculation about Hank. Three cheers to NBC for SERVING IN SILENCE: THE MARGARETHE CAMMERMEYER STORY. In addition to a great movie, they did some nice promotional work.
