>> MYSTERY: PRIME SUSPECT 3 (CC).  Prime Suspect #3 is a
4-part PBS import that once again stars Helen Mirren as
(straight) British Detective Chief Inspector Jane
Tennison.  This time out, she's investigating the murder
of a gay male teen "rent boy".  I haven't seen this, but
one reader who caught an advance feed of it wrote me, and
said that there were some pretty homophobic elements.
Check your local PBS listings, but airings in
Philadelphia, PA include:

>> THREE OF HEARTS (CC). Airs Sun-Mon, 5/1-2/94, 1:10 am,
Showtime. Strange movie about a lesbian (Kelly Lynch) who
hires a male escort (William Baldwin) to romance and then
drop her female bisexual ex-lover (Sherilyn Fenn), in the
hopes that the ex will give up on men and return to her.

>> NORTHERN EXPOSURE (CC).  Airs Mon. 5/2/94, 10:00 pm,
CBS.  TV Guide reports:  "A wedding in Cicely.  The
proprietors of the Sourdough Inn B&B prepare to tie the
knot in the first wedding of spring.  Most of the
townsfolk find nothing unusual in the planned nuptials of
longtime companions Erick and Ron (Don R. McManus, Doug
Ballard).  Maurice, however, is aghast.  And Holling sees
a profit-making opportunity: he'll cater, but cut corners
on the gourmet menu.  Meanwhile, anxieties plague Erick,
who's consumed by pre-wedding jitters...."

>> POLITICALLY INCORRECT.  Airs Mon. 5/2/94, 11:30 pm,
Comedy Central cable.  Guests include gay Congressman
Barney Frank (Democrat from Mass.).

>> POISON IVY (CC).  Airs Thurs-Fri., 5/5-6/94, midnight,
Prism.  Sarah Gilbert and Drew Barrymore reportedly share
a kiss in this drama/horror flick.  I've never seen it,
but readers of this board have hated this movie.

   But pg. 41 of TV Guide notes that both ARMISTEAD MAUPIN'S TALES OF THE
CITY and MRS. DOUBTFIRE hit the video tape market this week.  TALES is a
3-tape set (suggested price $19.95 each, $59.95/set).  MRS. DOUBTFIRE has a
suggested list of $19.98.
