In the PALESTINIAN OCCUPIED TERRITORIES, men and women who have consensual adult sex with members of the same gender are frequent victims of violence -- committed by the authorities, or even by their own families. Some flee to ISRAEL, where they're illegal, and ineligible for asylum. In a report last week, Radio Netherlands correspondent ERIC BEAUCHEMIN profiled these "Palestinians in limbo," including a young gay victim of abuse and torture by the Palestinian Authority. This time, he talks with Cindy, a 26-year-old Palestinian lesbian who grew up in the occupied territories but is now living in Israel. Together with about a dozen other Muslim women, she recently formed a lesbian support group called ASWAT (the Arabic word for "voices") at The Open House, Jerusalem's GLBT center . . . . . . . 12:30 SEGMENT #4 - Back-to-back promos for "Audiofile Year In Review 2004" (to air on the "This Way Out" program the week of 12/27/04) and "Pride On Screen 2004" (to air the week of 1/3/05) . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1:25 Closing continuity/credits . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1:15 TOTAL PROGRAM TIME . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 28:50 ==================================== * ================================ STATION PROMO COPY: ANNCR: NEXT TIME ON "THIS WAY OUT," PALESTINIAN LESBIANS FIND THEIR "VOICES" IN ISRAEL -- HEAR A COMPELLING CONVERSATION WITH A PALESTINIAN MUSLIM LESBIAN ACTIVIST...
