and the FGG decides to stage their Gay Games elsewhere;  Pride is reborn in 
Adelaide but gets busted in Buenos Aires;  the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops 
issues a strong statement urging political opposition to legalizing "immoral" 
same gender unions, but Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle's veto of a so-called 
"Defense of Marriage" bill withstands an override attempt in the legislature by 
the slimmest of margins;  the North Dakota Supreme Court rules that the 
possibility of anti-queer prejudice is not inherently harmful to children nor a 
valid reason to deny gay & lesbian parents custody after divorcing heterosexual 
spouses;  and queer kisses create controversy in Greece, the U.S. and Sweden
