Opposition to the inclusion of "sexual orientation" as a category in the original 1993 bill has kept all such definitions out, making the law essentially useless to prosecutors. But that problem may now be solved -- if the Texas Senate, and Governor (and leading GOP presidential candidate) George W. Bush go along.
