for South Africa`s top court, comes out as a person living with AIDS;  
Namibia`s Deputy Home Affairs Minister renews November`s rabid rhetoric 
calling for harsh laws against homosexuality;  a demonstration in Minsk 
protests reports that officials of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belarus 
have called for the execution of gays, while protesters in Jerusalem 
demonstrate against the government`s awarding of the Israel Prize to a 
professor whose writings describe homosexuality as criminally deviant;  one 
of 19 people in the 13th day of a hunger strike at the University of 
Pittsburgh over trustees refusal to extend health insurance benefits to 
University employees` domestic partners is rushed to the hospital;  Phoenix, 
Arizona kicks off the U.S. Pride season with their third annual march, while 
LGBT Youth Pride Day is held for the third time in Washington, D.C.;  the New 
Hampshire state Senate joins the state House in passing a bill to repeal a 
ban against gays and lesbians becoming adoptive or foster parents, which the 
governor has promised to sign;  the North Carolina House rejects a measure to 
add sexual orientation to the state hate crimes law and Orange County`s 
request to add protections for gays and lesbians to its local human rights 
ordinance, but the state Senate okays the city of Durham`s bid to expand its 
anti-discrimination laws, although sexual orientation is not a specified 
category;  a Louisiana state Senate committee passes a measure to protect 
lesbians and gays from employment discrimination, which now heads for a full 
floor debate, while a Florida bill to require employers to offer spousal 
healthcare coverage to their unmarried workers` domestic partners doesn`t 
even make it out of committee as the legislative session ends, but Alberta`s 
Social Services Minister announces a bill to allow gays and lesbians in the 
Canadian province to co-adopt their partners` children;  and openly-lesbian 
Charlotte, North Carolina budding playwright Samantha Gellar`s award-winning 
one act that officials wouldn`t allow to be staged for local students will be
