measure;  in Canada, Quebec's Tribunal on Human Rights rules that a gay
couple's right to rent a house outweighs the landlord's right to refuse to
rent to "faggots" based on his religious beliefs;  a reform rabbi in Tel
Aviv, Israel officiates at a lesbian couple's commitment ceremony;  U.S.
Southern Baptists vote to boycott "gay-friendly" Disney;  same-gender
partnership rights advocates fight the Catholic Church's opposition in
Portugal and Brazil, while a parliamentary committee in Finland recommends
passage of a Bill on Recognized Partnerships there;  Los Angeles gay
performance artist Luis Alfaro and New York City AIDS activist Michael
Harrington each receive $200,000+ MacArthur Foundation "genius grants";  and
x-rated gay film star Ryan Idol is busted while "Making Porn" in Chicago

SEGMENT #2 -  Billboard for "Club Verboten" AudioFile special [:10]  +
 Australian gays and lesbians have been actively involved in Black struggles
for over 20 years, but a historic May 23rd meeting marked a significant
turning point in the cooperation between the two movements.  The strengthened
lesbigay alliance with Aboriginal people is a powerful signal in the
increasingly-tense racial climate that is hampering the process of
Reconciliation between white and indigenous Australians.  This report by
MICHAEL SCHEMBRI and GREG READING ["GayWaves"/2SER-FM, Sydney] includes
comments by MICK DODSON, Justice Commissioner for the Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander Commission (the country's leading Aboriginal organization),
