its heterosexually-married workers;  a Pennsylvania lesbian files a lawsuit
to have the words "beloved life partner" included on her deceased partner's
headstone over the objections of the latter's parents;  the Archbishop of
Canterbury says the Church of England unequivocally opposes sexually-active
lesbigay Anglican clergy and same-gender marriage;  the Patriarch of
Romania's Orthodox Church strongly condemns homosexuality in his annual
Easter message;  Tasmania moves closer to repealing Australia's last sodomy
law;  police raid the offices of a new gay and lesbian group in Argentina;
 Chile's military tries to blame the gruesome killing of a young draftee on a
"mob of homosexuals";  some of Oprah Winfrey's staffers say the TV talk show
host's support for "Ellen" will send her to Hell; and will it be k.d. lang,

SEGMENT #2 -  Billboard for "Free Your Mind" interview [:10]  +  There's
heightened interest among gays and lesbians in the upcoming elections in
Great Britain.  Spokespeople for Labour, currently the opposition party but
favored to oust the Conservative parliamentary majority on May 1st, have made
several promises to the queer community, including an end to the ban on
military service by lesbians and gay men.  Pundits have identified certain
seats that Labour must win in order to take power, and one of them is in the
British heartland of Exeter, where openly-gay Labour candidate BEN BRADSHAW's
Conservative opposition is one of the country's most outspoken homophobes.
 It's a test not only of an openly-gay British candidate's electability, but
in this particular case, as anchor NIGEL WRENCH and reporter DAVID PROSSER
[BBC Radio 5 Live's "Out This Week"] explain, it also seems to be a test of
the popularity of actor Hugh Grant! [6:10]

Harper-Collins] examines the complex issues of concern to lesbigay young
people, and also serves as a guide for those who care about them.  As This
Way Out's JOSY CATOGGIO continues her conversation with authors ELLEN BASS,
the mother of a lesbian teen, and KATE KAUFMAN, a veteran lesbian activist
who remembers being young, the talk turns to the important distinction
between sexual orientation identity and sexual activity itself, and how
lesbigay youth survive an often repressive home and church environment
