SEGMENT #1 -  NewsWrap:  An Israeli gay man wins his deceased military
partner's pension benefits in a Tel Aviv court, while San Francisco's latest
domestic partners policy flies in the face of United Airlines' "Friendly
Skies";  in Britain, local Tories affirm their support for outed MP Jerry
Hayes, while his wife denies his reported sexual relationship with then
18-year-old gay activist Paul Stone;  the popular British-based erotic
magazine "EuroBoy" will change its name to "EuroGuy" to avoid prosecution
under a new U.S. child pornography law;  about 500 young queer activists
gather in Sacramento for the second annual California Youth Lobby Day, while
two activist groups in the Phillipines appear to be competing to hold the
country's first national conference;  Cobb County, Georgia's infamous
resolution condemning "the homosexual lifestyle" is apparently a thing of the
past;  and "Ellen" sings "out" -- but not for broadcast  [compiled and

SEGMENT #2 -  Billboard for "AudioFile" debut [:10]  +  With gay and lesbian
bashing on the rise despite -- or perhaps because of -- civil rights advances
in many countries, it seems that no one is immune to violent homophobic
attacks.  Heterosexuals have been bashed because their attackers perceived
them not to be, and even lesbians and gays who one would expect to be "safe"
can fall prey to serious hate crimes.  SERGEANT PAUL CARHILL, an openly-gay
police officer in London, became one such target.  REBECCA SANDLES talked
with him after his experience at the hands of Royal Air Force personnel.
 Sandles and MATT FOSTER also look at steps being taken in Manchester to
combat gay and lesbian bashing there by encouraging the reporting of these
crimes (with comments by hate crime victims MONICA GOFF & KEVIN TIMMINS,
Manchester police Inspector KEVIN McLAUGHLIN, and IAN WILMONT of The Greater
