[compiled and written by CINDY FRIEDMAN, with thanks to BRIAN NUNES, JASON LIN, BILL STOSINE, GREG GORDON, RON BUCKMIRE, REX WOCKNER and BJORN SKOLANDER, and anchored by CINDY FRIEDMAN and BRIAN NUNES] .............................................................................. .......................... 8:00 SEGMENT #2 - Billboard for EuroPride '96 feature [:10] + Earlier this month in Los Angeles, Keith Green was cleared of charges related to the death of his lover of 8 years, Jim Northcutt. Green was Northcutt's fulltime caretaker during his fight with AIDS, but Northcutt made it clear to his attorney and physicians that his planned suicide would be without help from Green. Last December, Northcutt took a lethal dose of barbiturates, bid his lover farewell, and went to his garage to activate a specially-assembled carbon monoxide device. Police nevertheless charged Green with murder and felony assisted suicide. Green's defense team provided evidence to the D.A. which led to all charges against Green being dropped. PAM MARSHALL [imru/KPFK-Los Angeles] talks with Green's attorneys JOHN DURAN and BRUCE ROBERTSON about what was, at best, a case of sloppy police work and negligence by the coronor's office, and at worse, a textbook case of law enforcement AIDS- and homophobia (production assistance by Michael Wilbur and Christopher David Trentham) [7:35] + "TWO" I.D. (with a musical excerpt from his "Glad To Be Gay") by openly-gay British rocker Tom Robinson [:30] .................. 8:15 SEGMENT #3 - The 4th annual EuroPride celebration is set for June 21st to 30th in Copenhagen. Last year's event in London drew 180,000 people. BO MORTENSEN [Radio Rosa/Copenhagen] talks with one of the EuroPride '96 organizers, WANDA SWAFFIELD, about their plans and objectives for ten days of parades, parties and politics. The conversation focuses on the wide variety of events planned for the 10-day celebration, media coverage, lesbian participation, financing, and the state of lesbigay freedoms in the various countries of the European Community [8:20] + outro music: "Let's Flaunt It" by ROMANOVSKY & PHILLPS [1:35] ....................................................... 9:55 [Contact info for EuroPride '96: phone +45 (Denmark) 3391-9495; fax +45-3391-9496; email europrid@inet.uni-c.dk] Closing Credits/Continuity ............................................................. 1:30 TOTAL PROGRAM TIME ........................................................................ 28:55 ----------------------Please note------------------------ Anyone with questions, suggestions, or NEWS stories is encouraged to email "T.W.O."
