the European Community, while Boston transgender activists demonstrate

nationwide;  a lesbian in Scotland who killed her lover's male sex partner is
the first gay or lesbian in the U.K. to be allowed to plead guilty to a

homo;  four San Francisco Bay area congregations are kicked out of the
American Baptist Chuch for being too lesbigay-friendly;  a massive survey of
first-year U.S. college students suggests a growing acceptance of gay and
lesbian relationships;  in Israel, an openly-gay man has declared his
candidacy for the Knesset, while opposition Democrats in Australia have high
hopes for a transgender lesbian candidate for Parliament;  a weekly half-hour
lesbigay television show is scheduled to debut in New Zealand in February;
 in a decision that could affect television and radio coverage of lesbigay
issues and safer sex education, the U.S. Supreme Court upholds a lower court
ruling restricting broadcasts of so-called "indecent" material to hours when
children presumably are unlikely to be listening, while the CBS-TV network
suspends (with pay) veteran commentator Ben Wright, accused 8 months ago of
making misogynist and homophobic remarks about women golfers;  and, imagine
Richard Nixon in his trademark "5 o'clock shadow" -- and a dress! [compiled

 Reports indicate that a new film comedy called "FRENCH TWIST", a surreal
portrait of a bisexual love triangle, written and directed by and starring a
proud butch dyke, will be one of the nominees for "Best Foreign Film" at this
year's Oscar ceremonies.  TWO's CHRIS WILSON and PAM MARSHALL (with
production assistance from CHRISTOPHER DAVID TRENTHAM) preview this "bi bi
love" saga with translated excerpts from the movie (and intro and outro music
