			RICHARD D. MOHR

Richard D. Mohr is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Illinois 
- Urbana and the author of _Gays/Justice: A  Study of Ethics, Society, and 
Law_ (Columbia University Press, 1988),  _Gay Ideas: Outing and Other 
Controversies_ (Beacon Press, 1992), and _A More Perfect Union: Why 
Straight America Must Stand Up For Gay Rights_ (Beacon Press, 1994).  A 
public intellectual, Professor Mohr also writes for magazines and 
newspapers, including the _Chronicle of Higher Education, The Advocate, 
Christopher Street, The Nation, Reason magazine, the Chicago Tribune_ and 
the _Boston Globe_.  For the last two years, he has been writing a monthly 
syndicated column in the gay press.
