Wildcat Press offers some of the best in today's
most enduring and provocative gay classics, and intend to publish
new classics for tomorrow. Right now we specialize in the works of
Patricia Nell Warren, an internationally acclaimed writer
of gay fiction.

In 1994 our first hardcover was <Harlan's Race>, by Patricia Nell Warren,
long awaited fiction sequel to <The Front Runner>, which was first published
in 1974 by William Morrow. <The Front Runner> tells of the relationship
between a gay coach and his Olympics-bound runner, amidst hate and
controversy, as they attempt to reach the 1976 Montreal Games. This
novel became the first of its kind ever to make mainstream bestseller
lists. Today, <The Front Runner> has around 10 million copies in print
in 7 languages. A recent Crown anthology called it one of the great sports
stories of all time.

In its turn, <Harlan's Race> follows Coach Brown through further
heartbreak and healing.<Harlan's Race> stayed on the Lambda Book
Report bestseller list for an entire year.

Wildcat Press has obtained all the paperback licenses to Warren's
bestselling body of work on gay life, and is making them available in new
paperback editions. We exhibit at the ABA annually; this year, you'll find
us on the main floor at Booth 3234.
