Newspapers with print runs less than 8,000 have no fax numbers listed under them, although they may have a fax (call them to inquire). Word limits range from 200-250. The shorter and to the point your letter the better your chances are that many newspapers will print it. If your letter is about a subject which is currently "hot" in the news your odds also increase.
