I have just come across a news Lesbian owned/produced 
news paper.  It its first issue the following headlines were found:

Welcome to the premiere issue of DYKESPEAK.
How do you fell about the Cover Story, [Do Dykes Buy
Sex?]?  I can feel disgust all around; "Sensationalistic!" ...
"Too sex positive!" ... "We're not just a bedroom issue!" 
... "Not politically revelent!" ... etc.  Well gals, I'm here to 
tell you that we are going to continue to publish issues and 
topics that you absolutely will NOT see covered in any
other press.  Our intent is to do it well, fairly, and without
bias.  We won't be P.C.

We will offer a platform for community discussion, and 
hope to hear from you aften.  Our hope is that you have 
picked up this newspaper, and are informed and excited
about what you read.  Please take the time to pass it to 
a friend.

We're trying to fill a void with this paper, but can not do it
without your help.  We depend on you for article ideas,
event announcements, literary submissions, cartoons,
and other input.  This is your newspaper, ... do with it what
you will.

DYKESPEAK is NOT a collective, it is NOT a non-profit
organization.  Deborah and I will tae complete responsibility
for the content and form of each issue, and we will sell 
enough advertising and subscriptions to make a 
decent profit.  Yes, lesbianism and capitalism have
merged!

So, read further.  I'm sure that you'll find at least one topic
worth discussion over dinner with a friend.  If you don't,
let us know!

We'll keep on printing as long as you keep on reading!
