The following is something I received in the mail yesterday. I don't think they will mind if I post it here. I am not affiliated in any way with this magazine; just thought someone else might be interested or have some input about it. ***************************************************** Fresh Fruit Records 369 Montezuma #209 Santa Fe, NM 87501 March 1, 1992 Dear Friends of Romanovsky & Phillips, I am writing this letter to let you know about a very special publication called _Empathy: An Interdisciplinary Journal for Persons Working to End Oppression on the Basis of Sexual Identities_. As the name suggests, _Empathy_ is not your everyday magazine with sound bites and fluff pieces that appeal to the lowest common denominator of public interest. _Empathy_ contains some of the most articulate, thought- provoking, and intelligent articles regarding gay and lesbian community ever to be published. And I personally believe that it should be required reading for anyone involved in the struggle to end homophobia and heterosexism. _Empathy_ comes out twice a year, and a year's subscription costs only $15 (see enclosed subscription brochure). Yet each issue will provide you with hours of enjoyable and intriguing reading. Culture, education, politics, parenting, youth, and spirituality are just some some of the topics covered in the current issue. Also included is an in-depth interview with Ron & myself which avoids the usual superficial questions and gets to the heart of what we are all about. I am so impressed with _Empathy_ that I have accepted a position as Cultural Editor with the magazine, not for money (_Empathy_ is published by a non-profit group), but because I feel so strongly that it is one of the finest and most useful publications available to us and I want to support it in any way I can. I hope you will consider ordering a copy so that you can see for yourself why I am so excited about _Empathy_. Warmly, Paul Phillips P.S. - Be on the lookout for your spring 1992 issue of _Produce Report_ containing information about some exciting new releases from Fresh Fruit Records! ***************************************************** Subscription Form Please enter my subscription to the next issue of Empathy ___ Two issues: individual subscription $15 ($20 institutional, $25 library) Please accept my tax-deductable contribution ___ Sustainer, contribution of $25.
