IGLHA Mailing List Information ------------------------------ ADDRESS SUMMARY Subscription requests: iglha-request@cs.rpi.edu List address: iglha@cs.rpi.edu FULL DESCRIPTION The International Gay and Lesbian Hockey Association, or IGLHA, supports the growth and development of ice hockey for gay, lesbian, and bisexual persons from around the world. As part of its effort to maintain communication with its members, and with other people interested in GLB ice hockey, the IGLHA has established an Internet mailing list. However, use of the list shall not be limited solely to correspondence from the IGLHA to list members: it is a forum for discussion about any topic relating to ice hockey in the GLB "arena". List membership is open to anyone who can access Internet e-mail, gay or straight, NHL level or pond-hockey level, player, official, coach, or fan. And while the list strives to promote the free exchange of ideas, you are asked to please refrain from abusive, threatening, derogatory, or harassing remarks. In short, use good manners and some common sense. In order to make a subscription request (addition, removal, or change of address), send e-mail to iglha-request@cs.rpi.edu In your letter, please indicate what type of request you are making -- either ADD, REMOVE, or CHANGE OF ADDRESS. The address that appears in the "From:" line (ie. your sending address) will be used as the one to add, remove, or change. If you wish to use an address different from the sending address, please specify it. The list manager reserves the right to refuse subscription requests if the specified address does not correlate with the sender's address. For ADD requests, you are asked to provide the following information: o your Full Name o the City, State/Province, and Country where you live o your Ice Hockey Involvement (player, official, coach, fan) and duration of involvement o optionally, your Sexual Orientation The provided information shall only be used for statistical purposes, and will not be accessible to anyone other than the list manager. Anyone who has e-mail access can send a message to the list, including users who are not on the list itself. To send a message to the entire IGLHA mailing list, send your letter to iglha@cs.rpi.edu It is usually a good idea to include an informative subject, and to format your letter in an organized and readable fashion. Remember, many people will read your posting. I hope this list proves to be a valuable resource for all people involved with or interested in GLB ice hockey. Sincerely, Kenny Zalewski IGLHA List Manager
