This book should be a part of every career counselor's library. The chapters: 1. Introduction. Discusses why there is a need for special career and life planning resources for gay, lesbian and bisexual persons. 2. A person-environment approach to career and life planning. 3. The assessment of interests, skills, experiences, and values. 4. The role of adult development in career and life planning. Provides a six-step career decisionmaking model to help gay, lesbian and bisexual students make specific career and life planning decisions. 7. The job search. 8. A comprehensive model of career and life planning with gay, lesbian and bisexual persons. Synthesizes and integrates concepts from chapters 1-7 into a detailed framework. Appendix 1. Career counseling assessment guidelines. Sample intake questions for career clients who are gay, lesbian or bisexual. Appendix 2. Additional career counseling resources. Appendix 3.
