Evans spoke out harshly against unequal legal standards for homosexuals and heterosexuals. * Encourage the Governor to consider the veto statement released by Colorado governor Roy Romer. * Let him know that legislation like this must not be allowed to pass without substantial public discussion. If the governor vetoes this bill, it will not be considered by the state legislature again until the fall term. That gives us several more valuable months to educate the public about the marriage issue. This education period is CRUCIAL.
