Caretakers and loved ones who support the terminally ill are also invited. During our time together, ancient techniques which explore physical transformation are coupled with modern techniques which use self-awareness to begin a journey. Each of the five sessions will focus on a particular aspect of our journey with illness. Developing a gentle approach to our conditions is essential for deep change and peace. Dr. Kevin Krycka, professor of psychology at Seattle University, and Linda Howe, a shamanic practicioner, certified transformational counselor and wholistic health counselor, will team up for sessions where we will experience a variety of techniques to explore our relationship with illness and healing. Kevin has worked since 1983 with persons with HIV/AIDS. He has published and led workshops nationally and internationally on the subject of developing self-healing attitudes which are affirming and congruent with personal beliefs. Linda is a member of the American Society of Alternative Therapists. Her training in shamanism has been primarily through the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. Fees and hotel information along with a shedule of workshop topics can be e-mailed to you from either "krycka@seattleu.edu" or "wings@olympus.net" via Internet.
