The American Federation of Veterans (AmFedVets) is holding its first Biennial Conference and Educational Summit at the New York Holiday Hills Conference Center and Resort. The cost of the event, excluding transportation, is $260. per person- double occupancy- including accommodations, food, and workshops. Among the featured guests are Anthony Hawkins, Director for the V.A. Center for Minority Affairs and Joan Furey, Director for the V.A. Center for Women Veterans. The workshops will cover Women and Minorities, The Hidden Client, Sensitivity Training, Lobbying and Networking, The Senior Veteran, and Fundraising. There will be a special "VA Town Meeting for Veterans" featuring a question and answer dialogue between the panel and audience. The CD ROM "Conduct Unbecoming" will be introduced through the studios of Clinton Fein and associates of San Francisco, California. Co-chairs are Shirley Gerow of New York and Andy Eddy of Florida.
