	Welcome to queerarabs, the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered 
	arab mailing list. If your receive this message, you are 
	subscribed to the list. Please save this information about the list:

PURPOSE       

	Queerarabs is a mailing list for gay, lesbian, bisexual and 
	transgendered people who identify as arab or middle-eastern.      
	The purpose of this list is to allow glbt arabs to communicate; to
	discuss queer arab culture, experiences and issues; and to 
	provide a social and support network.

	The list is not moderated.

CONFIDENTIALITY
	
	The list is confidential; your  name and email address will NOT be 
	visible to anybody else on the list unless you send mail to the
	list. The only persons who will have access to it are the
	administrators of the list (the founders and the systems administrator
	of the machine used to maintain the list).  It is the policy of 
	the list maintainers not to release the names of recipients and 
	to try to keep the list private. However, email is not secure, 
	so don't count on it.

To SUBSCRIBE to the list, send mail to:

		majordomo@queernet.org

Do not write anything in the subject line. In the text, type:

		subscribe queerarabs
		
To UNSUBSCRIBE, send a message to majordomo@queernet.org and type:

		unsubscribe queerarabs
 
	
POSTING MESSAGES

	To SEND A MESSAGE to the list, use the address:

		queerarabs@queernet.org

Your message will be forwarded to the entire membership of the list.

It is also possible to post to the list anonymously by posting to:

		queerarabs-anonymous@queernet.org

This will strip the "From" field and other identifying information 
from the mail header, then automatically send the message to the list.

Contributors to queerarabs are expected to be responsible.  Messages 
consisting of personal attacks are inappropriate. Please keep messages 
concise.

	The administrators reserve the right to remove anyone from the list
