You may subscribe and participate by sending a message to listproc@usc.edu . Use no subject, and in the body of the message put subscribe CHLGBT-L [your name] without the brackets. Put nothing else in the message and erase your signature if it would normally appear at the end. It will confuse the list processor. You will get a message back saying that the list owners will add you to the list.
