Lesbian Creates Website for Adult Community

Hollis, NH... Barbara McLean, after over 30 years of
lesbian and gay activism, organizing, and community
building, has now turned her attentions to the Internet.
As a result, the baby boomers and baby boomers plus of
all lifestyles will now have their own website to
teach them to be comfortable with computers and the
Internet.

Recently launched, http://www.livineasy.com strongly
asserts that people in their 50s, 60s and 70s, the
fastest growing segment of our society, are in the
prime of their life, a time of celebrating accomplish-
ments and new beginnings. "Through the Internet, this
community can satisfy much of their need for
connections, learning, exploring and personal growth."

"We know that many in the 50s/60s/70s age group have
not had an opportunity to become proficient with
personal computers and, may be somewhat confused by the
cluttered and chaotic environment of the Internet. Our
PC Training provides a very basic introduction to
computers as well as a base of knowledge about the
most popular applications run on personal computers.
This includes a tutorial on the Internet and a detailed
description of how to navigate effectively throughout
this world." Each member will be able to learn and
progress at their own rate, and will use what they
learn immediately.

All computer training and special feature articles on
popular uses of the Internet, such as online shopping,
investing, performing genealogy research, travel and
gathering medical information are complemented by books
on these subjects which are made available in the
Livineasy Community Store in cooperation with Amazon.com.

The philsophy of the website, as expressed by Barbara
McLean, is "To enrich our lives with all that life has
to offer. That includes developing new skills, gaining
new knowledge, having new experiences, exploring,
enjoying, sharing, and always believing the best is
yet to come. "Livineasy" describes the mood of the
website, which provides training and guidance in a
comfortable, slow-paced environment, a "peaceful island
on the Internet."

Barbara McLean has been a lesbian and gay community
activist and organizer since 1966, serving as a member
of no fewer than 20 organizations throughout the country
and founder of three, the most recent being Women Meeting
Women, a large lesbian social organization in New
Hampshire and Massachusetts. After retiring from the
leadership of Women Meeting Women, Barbara searched for
a way to combine community building with her technical
and marketing skills to launch a new business. The
result was Livineasy.com. She can be reached via email
at bmclean@livineasy.com.
