Date: Fri, 15 Jul 1994 09:12:01 -0400 [ Send all responses to hayden@vorlon.mankato.msus.edu ] Following some call and positive responses on Gaynet, I have created the following two mailing lists to take up the place of a vacuum that existed in email. If you have any questions, let me know -------------------------------------------------------------------------- QUEER-DEBATE/DEBATE-DIGEST are mailing lists designed to be a forum for gay and anti-gay activists. This lists have two purposes: 1) It is designed to provide a forum to end some of the factional flaming that is taking place on other mailing lists. This has led to lists that are no longer able to server their assigned purpose. 2) Perhaps, just maybe, it will bridge a few gaps and change some opinions and lead to some understanding. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Essentially, you are free to talk about whatever you want and you are, in many ways, encouraged to argue. The heat can get high in here and that is fine. BUT(!!!!), there are a couple of rules that need to be adhered to. This is in order to present accurate information and a useful forum. 1) No personal attacks or insults. That's just childish. 2) Any material presented as factual must have a citation. Making blind and ignorant claims is again pointless. 3) Anonymous posting though single-blind remailers is not permitted. Anonymous posting through double-blind systems (such as anon.penet.fi) is permitted as there is a way to trace back to troublemakers. -------------------------------------------------------------------- ADMINISTRIVIA: This list is presented in two forms. Standard mail (queer-debate) and digested form (debate-digest). The contents of both lists are identical, but the digested form has several postings concatenated into a single longer posting with subject index on the top. To subscribe, send mail to: majordomo@vorlon.mankato.msus.edu Include the line: subscribe queer-debate or subscribe debate-digest To unsubscribe, use the above except replace 'subscribe' with 'unsubscribe'.
