Tush, TRIBUNE-REVIEW A group in the city is working to devise a program that ensures every student is valued and respected regardless of their sexual orientation. The Pittsburgh chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network was founded to offer programs that would help provide a safe environment for children who are targets of discrimination because of the way they look or act. [Deleted article. filemanager@qrd.org] SIDEBAR Harassment survey The national Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network in September completed a survey of 496 lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender youth from 32 states, including Pennsylvania.
