The McKinley High School senior said he wants to create the school club, as an affiliate of a national organization, so gay and lesbian students could get the same safety and respect assured all students. The training for youth speakers will be held Sunday, February 6, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Boston Living Center. Participants will be trained in a personal story-based educational format. There is no charge for the training. Speakers who complete the training and participate in two or more speaking engagements will receive a stipend.
