Thus, the long-term strategy by some to legitimize homosexuality as just another alternative lifestyle gains yet more ground. Carragher" To: schools@Youth-Guard.Org Subject: gay youth victimization - dissertation questionnaire Hello all. I'm a graduate student in clinical/school psychology at Hofstra University. I'm doing my dissertation and need some help distributing my questionnaire. I need 18-30 year-old gay men who were NOT out in high school. It's a part "current," part "retrospective" confidential questionnaire re: what high school was like for gay youth who were NOT identified at the time. I do advocacy work in New York City with gay youth (GLSEN, Hetrick-Martin), and I know there is a need for more research in this area. A major part of the questionnaire is victimization in high school, and how it affects both "out" and "non-identified" gay youth. I need about 60 more questionnaires to be filled out, and can mail a bunch out to someone if you give me your address at the e-mail address above (dancarr@idt.net) or call (516) 481-1614. There is not postage necessary to return the questionnaires, and they take about 20 minutes to complete. I'm trying to get a diverse geographical sample - I'm here in New York City, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks a lot, ============================================================================== Reply-To: listserver@channelq.com Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 21:23:50 -0700 From: "Channel Q" To: (LGBT Political Activists), queerpolitics@abacus.oxy.edu Subject: AP: Clinton meets with gay, lesbian leaders ASSOCIATED PRESS July 27, 1999 Clinton Meets Gay, Lesbian Leaders WASHINGTON (AP) - A group of gay and lesbian elected officials from the state and local level discussed education, hate crime prevention and job discrimination with President Clinton Wednesday.
