FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: David Rostcheck, 617-510-2275 davidr@biresource.org http://www.biresource.org BISEXUAL RESOURCE CENTER RELEASES NEWLY REVISED AND EXPANDED BISEXUAL RESOURCE GUIDE New edition of world's only international bisexual resource guide is 50% bigger, now available for order over the internet. Boston, Massachusetts. -- February 12, 1999 - The Bisexual Resource Center (BRC) today announced the release of the new 3d edition of the Bisexual Resource Guide and announced its immediate availability for order through the internet. The new Guide represents the most ambitious collection of bisexual resources to date. It includes contact listings for every known bisexual and bi-inclusive group around the world (over 2100 groups). Published every two years through the efforts of over 150 volunteers from around the world, the Guide provides a comprehensive collection of resources for bisexuals. The Guide lists resources from over 49 countries and contains more than 400 new and 1700 updated listings. In addition, the Guide contains extensive feature articles on bisexuality, a bi-bliography listing bisexual books, and listings of films with bisexual characters. The Guide also contains listings of upcoming conferences, safer sex information, and other valuable information for bisexuals. The new edition contains 304 pages, 100 more than the second edition. "The Bisexual Resource Guide is the absolute best resource available for bisexuals and bi-questioning people in search of support and community," explained editor Robyn Ochs. "For many isolated bisexuals, it serves as a lifeline to a sustaining bisexual community. For counselors, therapists, or people representing inclusive groups, the Bisexual Resource Guide is an essential resource. If you or someone you know or love is bisexual, you need this book." Recognizing the Guide's great value to bisexuals, BiNet USA, the national bisexual network of the United States, announced it would begin providing a copy of the Guide with each BiNet USA membership. "If you're bisexual, or are a bisexual or bi-inclusive organization, you need a copy of the Bisexual Resource Guide on your bookshelf," explained BRC President Wayne Bryant. " And, if you're in the United States, you should join BiNet USA. BiNet's new membership plan provides an easy way to do both." Bisexuals can join BiNet USA by sending a check for $1 per $1000 income to BiNet USA, 2401 Wilson Blvd., #110-311, Arlington, VA 22203. Website ordering simplifies international orders "Our new internet ordering system makes ordering much easier, especially for orders from outside the US," explained David Rostcheck from the Bisexual Resource Center. "Check orders need to be payable in US dollars, which is a hassle for our many non-US orderers. Website orders can be paid by secure credit-card transaction, which handles currency conversion, and the Guide is shipped faster." The Bisexual Resource Guide can be found in bookstores at a list price of $12.95 or can be ordered directly from the Bisexual Resource Center for $11.95. Order through secure electronic commerce on the www.biresource.org website, or send a check or postal order for $11.95 US plus any donation (tax-deductible for USA orders) to Bisexual Resource Center, P.O. Box 400639, Cambridge, MA 02140 USA. Note to USA bookstores: The Guide can be stocked through our resellers, Bookazine Company (contact Ron Hanby at 1-800-548-3855) or Alamo Square Distributors (contact Kirk Lively or Steve Cantine at 415-863-7410, PO Box 14543, San Francisco, CA 94114). Libraries can order from the BRC or request ISBN# 0-9653881-2-3 from their supplier.
