The attacker was in a P.E. class meeting in the same gym. At some point in the period, he came over to the cheerleader and cursed at him for being a queer, which the young man denies, and struck the cheerleader. The young man "held his own" and pressed the attacker against the floor until school personel escorted him to the office. Police were called, but they took no action. School administrators suspended the attacker for three days, but he is now back in the same gym-space with the cheer leader. The school has no guidelines and policies or training regard gay/Lesbian students as required by the Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education. ---------- MEMBERS: IF YOU ARE GETTING DUPLICATE COPIES, GO TO http://www.netscorp.net/~jaimel/page13.html and sign up for the automatic E-Mail Forum. What a response I have had from being on your mailing list. I have had more than enough feedback and it is great to see there is so much support and interest for gay and lesbian issues in today's schools. Now that I have all the interview possibilities, no more interview candidates are needed. Thanks for your help with my project.
