RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop contacts and maintain relationships with various individuals, constituencies and organizations working on GLBT issues. * Conduct research and attend meetings concerning issue listed above. * Organize programs and institutes on issues, including providing logistical support. * Produce talking points and position papers. * Track state legislation on GLBT issues as needed. * Participate as member of Program Team. * Provide administrative and other assistance to Political Director. * Perform other duties as assigned by Political Director or Deputy Political Director. QUALIFICATIONS: * Excellent oral and writing skills. * Highly organized and responsible self-starter. * Experience with research and attention to detail. * Knowledgeable about the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. * Ability to work as part of a team. * Computer and Internet literacy. * Undergraduate degree, preferably in liberal arts or equivalent experience. * Experience and demonstrated commitment to working in a local, state or national non-profit organization.
