One of the anti's rambled on about how we just didn't understand how complicated the issue is (oh, really?), and that 1) passing such a policy would open the door to having to have an inclusive curriculum and 2) there had been a lot of lawsuits against school districts who have a policy including sexual orientation. I have only heard of a couple of lawsuits against school districts who didn't have policies and failed to protect students. Does anyone on the P.E.R.S.O.N. list know about lawsuits against school board who passed inclusive policies? I would be grateful for any and all information (especially if people remember to tell me what state they're in!!, and preferably give an address to use for more info). Thanks so much, Peg Welch, York, PA Urbanite@aol.com ==================================================================== [Regarding the article posted yesterday in which a parent is trying to have an Alameda teacher's credential revoked:] California's Commission on Teacher Credentialing can be reached at 1812 9th St, Sacramento CA 95814.
