The Board is to reconsider its resolution which reads, in part: "Whereas the traditional family is under relentless attack by those who want to redefine family to include homosexual and lesbian couples and by those who want to indoctrinate children in pro-homosexual propaganda against their wishes of their parents, therefore Be it resolved that the Elizabethtown Area School District hereby endorses the pro-family resolution and affirms that the pro-homosexual concepts on sex and family as promote by the National Education Association will never be tolerated or accepted in this school." Thank-you to all that responded, I regret that I cannot personally email to everyone a personal thanks, the outpouring of support was nothing short of phenomenal!!!! The power of the internet is awesome. I am continuing to gather info, and am sharing EVERYTHING with the citizens group that is forming. I am being personally helped by the LAMBDA Legal Defense Fund, People for the American Way (I am going to visit tomorrow) and The Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Task force. The panel may be readdressed next week, IF the school board will agree. I will be attending the School Board Meeting on Tuesday night, (10/15/96) and will let everyone know what happens! Thanks to all!
