in schools by halting THE HOMOPHOBIC HEARINGS
currently scheduled in the House before the Oversight
and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Economic
and Educational Opportunities Committee.

Together, a lot of supportive folks who'd
earlier called and written Congress about this issue
 got the hearings postponed once, but now
Subcommittee Chair Hoekstra (R-MI) has rescheduled
them for October 13.  These hearings are a farce,
featuring 7-8 anti-LGBT witnesses to one for our side.

Although you may have heard about this issue before,
we really REALLY really need you to take two actions
to STOP the "Lou Sheldon" hearings about to take place
in Congress:
        1.  Issue your own calls and letters to Congress
        2.  Get your friends and relatives to do the same.

IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOUNG PEOPLE TAKE ACTION
