Based on the posting, I switched my car rental reservations this weekend from Budget to National. Although someone questioned whether the policy is fully implemented, my experience was that the new policy worked great. At the National desk, I told the clerk that I would have an extra driver. She asked my what the extra driver's relationship is to me. I said he's my domestic partner. She asked whether he has the same address as mine on his driver's license. I said yes. She said fine, and registered him as an exempt extra driver. BTW, the National people were really nice and efficient. I am really delighted with the new policy and with the company. -- Rick Cendo
