Bisexual Resource Center - Programs BISEXUAL RESOURCE CENTER - PROGRAMS The goals of the Bisexual Resource Center (BRC) are affirmation and empowerment, accessibility and enrichment, recognition and dignity for all bisexual people. BRC accomplishes these goals through funding, technical assistance, and program development (avoiding duplication of the efforts of existing organizations) at the grassroots, regional (Greater Boston and BiNet NorthEast Region), national, and international levels. BRC's general areas of work are: Educate, disseminate information, and promote research about bisexuality and bisexual people. Publish and distribute the literature which constitutes an important the infrastructure for the bisexual liberation movement: The Bisexual Resource Guide Bisexual Resource Center on bisexuality and other issues of interest to many bisexuals. The "Bisexual Resource List" (this document) distributed monthly by email. You can get the Bisexual Resource Center for these and other things. Provide services to bis in the disability community, including literature on computer disks for the blind and sign language translation for the deaf. Build coalitions with individuals and organizations of lesbians and gay men, heterosexuals, and members of the transgender community. Gather and maintain historical and research information on bisexuality, bisexual organizations, and the bisexual liberation movement in a Bisexual Archives. Support local organizing. Provide consultation and support of existing and emerging bi groups through technical support and personal support of organizers. Sponsor and support conferences, events, and educational programs. Organize and support conferences, retreats, and other public forums on bisexuality. Provide resources and referrals to support individuals and projects. Provide counseling, information, and referral services through a Bisexual Resource Office. Provide speakers to groups and the media through a Bisexual Speakers Bureau.
