The Always Spring Foundation, Inc. along with L.G.B.A. will host a local MONOPOLY Game Tournament on November 11, 1995 from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at StonyBrook University's Student Union Building. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Always Spring Foundation to help provide Housing and Transportation to persons who are HIV positive or diagnosed with AIDS. The Always Spring Foundation hopes to raise over $25,000.00 in donations through the sponsorship of this day-long competition. The tournament includes two 90-minute preliminary rounds of the MONOPOLY game that each participant is required to play, as well as a final round of play with the top six competitors to determine the winner. The cost for a seat at the tournament is $35.00 and we guarantee a lot of fun and excitement." This MONOPOLY game competition is one of many local tournaments being held throughout the country. The winner of this local tournament will qualify for consideration for the State MONOPOLY game title and may go on to play in the US MONOPOLY Game Championship. The US Champion will then be invited to compete in the prestigious World MONOPOLY Game Championship.
