>From: dsinc!jabber!cpp!jdavids@intercon.intercon.com >Date: Wed, 24 Aug 1994 22:21:37 -0500 (EST) ACT UP PUTS THE FDA ON TRIAL: Tuesday, September 20, 1994 _The Accused_: The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) _The Crimes_: Murder of hundreds of thousands of women with AIDS and other diseases. Deliberate indifference towards women's health. _The Public Trial_: Tuesday, September 20, 1994 High Noon FDA Headquarters Rockville, Maryland * Women and men who care about women's lives are urged to attend! * Women who have been denied access to clinical trials will be invited to bear witness to the FDA's shameful neglect of women's health. _The Evidence_: FDA guidelines STILL do not mandate inclusion of women in research! Women are STILL banned from research simply because of their "childbearing potential!" Women with cancer, AIDS and other serious diseases STILL cannot get access to potentially lifesaving new drugs. Drugs are STILL being approved and marketed with NO data on how they will affect women's bodies. PLEASE JOIN US! We will gather at 10:30 at the Twin Brooks (red line) Metro Station. At 11:30, we will march the short distance to the FDA, where we will rally until the trial at noon.
