It does not provide support for projects which are substantially completed at the time of application. Grant funds also may not be applied toward retirement of long-term debt. Areas of emphasis include higher education, health and long-term care, human services, science and the environment, arts and humanities, and public affairs. Two conditions are associated with a Kresge grant commitment: 1) The fund raising goal must be met by a mutually agreed-upon deadline; and 2) The project contracts must be signed and the contracted costs be within available resources. Additionally, a Final Report Form should be submitted when the project is completed.
