 AB   Responses from the North Pole Poll, a nationwide survey of children
      conducted by Nintendo of America Inc., indicate that American
      children have their own societal concerns, chief among them the AIDS
      epidemic.  The survey of more than 3,000 children aged 7 to 13 found
      that 26.6 percent of them, given a holiday wish to make real, would
      ask for a cure for AIDS.  That response was the most popular of the
      11 choices given, ranking higher than elimination of drugs, crime,
      homelessness, war, hatred or racism, or gangs.
