Subject: Update: New info at www.accountabilityproject.com

dear friends,

thanks to the magick fingers of rick solomon of act up/golden gate, the
www.accountabilityproject.com site has been upgraded in the past 24 hours.
what's new? the latest i.r.s. form 990 from the names project, the latest
napwa, national association of p.w.a.'s, i.r.s. form 990, and a new i.r.s.
form 990 on the s.f. aids foundation's prevention point needle exchange
program. furthermore, names of executives at a few agencies have been added.

we are also pleased to announce we've posted five year's worth of i.r.s. form
990s from s.f.'s continuum agency, and three year's worth of i.r.s. form 990s
from the national minority aids council, based in dc. adding these two groups
to our roster of aids service organizations brings the number of aids agencies
represented at our site to 29, twenty nine. the total number of i.r.s. form
990s at our site is 70, yes, seventy!

we will soon post the latest i.r.s. form 990 from amfar, the american
foundation for aids research; three year's worth of the form 990 from wncap,
western north carolina aids project; five year's worth of 990s from the lambda
legal defense fund of new york; three year's worth of 990s from s.f.'s walden
house, a drug rehab program with a major aids focus; and four year's worth of
audited financial statements for the concerned women for america, a right wing
group based in dc which opposes condom distributions, sex ed, and needle
exchanges.

special note about amfar's 990: treatment activists may want to obtain a hard
copy of the 990 because there are 8, eight, pages of data about grants awarded
by the agency to community groups and research programs that will not be
posted at our site. there is also a one page securities transaction activity
report which lists the stocks held and sold by amfar, including a few shares
in pharmaceutical firms. a copy can be obtained from scott newman, controller
for amfar at 1-212-682-7440, ex. 203.

additionally, don narbone, the founder of our site has better organized the
way in which data is filed there. you will now easily locate stories about
the s.f. aids walk, a financial report from the cal. attorney general's
charities office pertaining to last year's cal. aids ride, and you can now
directly email us comments and suggestions.

please pay a visit to www.accountabilityproject.com and give us some feedback.
and finally, when was the last time you inspected your local aids agnecy's
i.r.s. 990 form??
