Subject: SF AIDS Foundation IRS 990s at www.accountabilityproject.com

dear friends,

the s.f. aids foundation released its two new i.r.s. 990 forms yesterday, one
day ahead of their may 15th deadline. i say two 990s because one 990 form is
for the s.f.a.f. proper, and the other 990 form is for the agency's prevention
point needle exchange program.

condensed versions of these s.f. aids foundation i.r.s. 990s are currently
available on the www.accountabilityproject.com web site. it is hoped that the
s.f.a.f., which maintains its own web site, will see fit to post their 990s on
their own site.

i wish to publicly thank the s.f.a.f. for making its 990s available so
quickly.

also, the head of s.f.'s shanti project, bob ribycki, called me yesterday
because his group's most current i.r.s. 990 form is ready and he is mailing it
to me. thanks bob. he further offered to tell me present salaries of the top
folks at his agency. as you may know, 990s are in general months, sometimes a
year behind the time when they are released, so ribycki's offer is signficant
and no other e.d. has volunteered such info like that.

another s.f. agency, project open hand, in response to my query about when
their i.r.s. 990s would become available, phoned this morning to say the form
is ready. they will send the 990 to me via snail mail.

regarding the other forty two (42!?) i.r.s. 990 forms i have from assorted
RIGHT WING, aids and gay groups, which are not posted on our site, i can't
estimate when they will become available on our web site. it certainly would
be expeditous if the groups posted their 990s on their own web sites, assuming
they have one, but that is a larger accountability issue to be addressed
elsewhere.

lastly, thanks to rick solomon, for maintaing our web site and especially for
making the s.f. aids foundation's 990s available on the web literally
overnight.
