This interactive educational program is intended for high school and university students and other adults, and covers all the basics on HIV and AIDS including definitions, transmission, progression of the disease, prevention, and resources. The program was developed by the Peer Health Education Program at University of Alberta Health Services and released in the summer of 1994. It can be downloaded from ftp.srv.ualberta.ca, in the directory pub/mac/general/aids. Versions of the program tailored for Alberta and for Edmonton are available at the same site. This version runs on any color Macintosh with System 7 except the Color Classic. Users requiring a black and white version for a 9" screen should send e-mail to jhancock@gpu.srv.ualberta.ca. Please distribute this program freely. It is shareware, and the fee is waived for students and unemployed persons. A version for Windows is also available, but not yet on ftp. Send a snail mail address to jhancock@gpu.srv.ualberta.ca if you want this version. - - Judy Hancock (jhancock@gpu.srv.ualberta.ca) University of Alberta Standard disclaimers apply.
